Setting up a custom domain
Point your own domain at your Vezstora store.
On the Business plan, you can point your own domain, like shop.yourbrand.com, at your Vezstora store instead of using the default vezstora.com/your-slug address.
On Elite, you don't need to own one already - go to Settings → Plan and request a domain. Vezstora registers it for you at no cost and connects it to your store; you'll get an email once it's live, and none of the DNS steps below apply since Vezstora sets that up on its end.
Subdomain vs. apex domain
A subdomain like shop.yourbrand.com is the easiest setup: add a CNAME record pointing to the address Vezstora gives you. An apex (root) domain like yourbrand.com requires an A record instead, since CNAME records are not allowed at the root of a domain.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Domain and enter the domain you want to use.
- Vezstora shows you the exact DNS record to add.
- Log in to wherever you manage your domain's DNS (your registrar or DNS provider) and add that record.
- Wait for DNS to propagate. This can take up to 48 hours, though it is often much faster.
After it's live
Once DNS has propagated, your store becomes reachable at your custom domain. Your original vezstora.com/your-slug address keeps working alongside it.
