Running a campaign
Use the campaign builder to promote products.
On the Business plan, the campaign builder lets you run a sale that applies automatically on your storefront, no code required from the customer.
Setting up a campaign
- Name: internal label so you can tell campaigns apart.
- Discount type and value: a percentage off or a fixed amount off.
- Applies to: specific products, or your whole catalog.
- Start and end dates: when the discount turns on, and optionally when it turns off automatically.
- Banner: an optional image, headline, and color to announce the sale on your storefront.
Turning a campaign on or off
A campaign only applies while it is enabled and within its date range. You can pause a campaign manually at any time without deleting it, then turn it back on later.
Overlapping campaigns
If more than one of your own campaigns covers the same product at the same time, the customer automatically gets whichever discount is larger. You never need to worry about a customer missing out on the better deal.
Campaigns vs. discount codes
A campaign discounts everyone browsing automatically, which suits a storewide or seasonal sale. A discount code requires the customer to enter it, which suits a targeted offer sent to a specific audience. See Creating discount codes.
