Selling in your shop (POS)

Sell at the counter, even offline, with stock shared with your online store.

The POS (Pro and above) lets you sell in your physical shop from your phone, tablet or computer. Every sale lowers the same stock your online store uses, so you never sell online what you just sold at the counter.

Making a sale

  • Open POS in the sidebar and tap products to add them. Products with sizes or colours ask you to pick one.
  • Choose how the customer paid: Cash, Transfer or Card (your own card machine).
  • For cash, type what the customer handed you to see the change.
  • Tap Charge. You can send the receipt on WhatsApp, then start a new sale.

Vezstora doesn't take the payment itself. Check a transfer has arrived, or that your card machine approved it, before you finish the sale.

Prices

Products with a fixed price sell at that price. Owners and managers can tap the price in the cart to change it, and can give a discount by amount. Anyone selling can use your discount codes.

Products with no fixed price (marked “price on request”, or with no price set) ask for a price when tapped. Anyone at the till, staff included, types what the customer is paying. It can't be left at zero. These sales are marked “Price set at the till” on the order, and listed in the sales report so you can check them.

If a price changes often, for example by weight or the day's market rate, mark the product “price on request” so it's priced at the till each time.

Your team

On Business, team members can use the POS too. Staff can sell at your listed prices and see their own sales. Each sale records who made it.

Selling without internet

Open the POS once while you're online, for example when you open the shop. After that it keeps working if the internet drops, and it can even be opened with no internet. Sales are saved on the phone and upload by themselves when you're back online. A badge shows how many are waiting.

  • Discount codes need internet. Discounts by amount still work.
  • Don't clear your browser data while sales are waiting, or they'll be lost.
  • If something sold online and in the shop at the same time, you'll get an alert so you can sort it out with the customer.

Sales report and closing the day

Tap Sales report on the POS. It opens on today, so you can close the day: cash, transfer and card totals, discounts, items sold, the busiest hour, and (for owners and managers) a breakdown by person. Use the cash total to count your drawer.

Switch to This week, This month or your own dates to see sales per day, your best day, and how the period compares with the one before. You can print any of them.

In-store sales across your dashboard

  • Analytics: switch between All sales, Online and In store. The sales chart shows the two in different colours.
  • Inventory: each product shows how many sold online and in store over the last 30 days, and warns when stock will run out soon at that pace.
  • Weekly email: includes what the shop took that week.

Voiding a sale

For a mistake at the till. Owners and managers can open an in-store sale from Orders and tap Void sale on the day it was made. The items go back into stock. Give the customer their money back yourself.

Returns in your shop

When a customer brings items back, open the sale from Orders and tap Record a return. Choose what came back and whether it can be sold again, then how you gave the money back: cash, transfer or card. You can return part of a sale, and return more later.

Refunds show on the sales report for the day you gave them, so the cash card still matches your drawer and days you've already closed don't change.
