Delivery and pickup
Offer home delivery or pickup, price delivery by area or by courier, and offer free delivery.
At checkout your customers choose Home delivery, Pick up from store or Collect from a courier office, whichever you offer, and see one price. It's added to their order, a promo code can take money off it, and then they pay. Delivery and pickup are available on Pro and above. Set them up in Settings → Shipping.
Pick up from store
Turn on Pick up from store and add your pickup address and opening hours. Pickup is free, and customers see your instructions when they choose it.
Collect from a courier office
Many customers are happy to collect from a courier office or bus park near them. Under Collect from a courier office, add the offices or parks you send parcels to, each with its state, address, opening hours and fee. Customers choose Collect from a courier office at checkout, pick the one nearest them and pay its fee. You send the parcel there and add the waybill or tracking number on the order so they know when to collect.
Home delivery with your own rates
You run delivery yourself, with your own riders or any delivery service you like. No courier account is needed. Group the states you deliver to into delivery areas, each with a fee and an optional fee for every extra item. For example:
- Lagos: ₦2,000, plus ₦500 for each extra item
- South West (Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti): ₦3,500
Then choose what happens everywhere else in Nigeria: charge a fixed fee, use a courier's live price (your own delivery nearby, a courier for the rest), or don't deliver there (customers there can still pick up from your store). The customer's price is picked automatically from the state they enter. Three items to Lagos in the example above cost ₦2,000 + ₦500 + ₦500 = ₦3,000.
Most products need nothing extra. For bulky or heavy items, like furniture, you can set an extra delivery fee in the product's edit page. It's added for each one bought, on top of your own delivery fees. When a courier prices the delivery it isn't used, because the courier already prices by weight.
Home delivery by courier
Choose Use a courier (or a courier for everywhere outside your areas) and a delivery company you pick, such as GIG Logistics, DHL or Fez, prices each order live. The company works out the price from your pickup address to the customer's full address and the parcel's weight, so customers enter their street address before they see it. That price is exactly what booking the pickup costs you. If your company can't deliver to an address, the cheapest company that can is used instead.
- Create a free account at Terminal Africa and add money to its wallet. Pickups you book are paid from this wallet, not by Vezstora.
- In the courier setup, paste your Secret key (not the Public key) from the Terminal Africa dashboard's settings, and click Connect.
- Fill in your pickup address (with its postal code), a default parcel weight and your delivery company, then click Save.
Add a weight to each product so courier prices are accurate. Products without one use your default weight. Tracking updates arrive by themselves once you're connected.
Free delivery on bigger orders
Tick Free delivery on bigger orders and set an amount. When a customer's products reach it, home delivery and courier office collection are free, and checkout shows the offer to customers below it. With courier prices, you still pay the courier for those orders.
Addresses
Customers enter a Nigerian mobile number (checked at checkout so riders can always call) and can add a landmark or directions, which show on the order page.
Book a courier pickup
With a courier connected, open a paid order and find Courier delivery. Add the packed weight if you know it, and click Get courier prices. Your delivery company is already selected. Click Book pickup. The order is marked fulfilled and your customer gets an email with the tracking link. You can download the shipping label, follow the parcel's progress, and cancel the pickup until the courier collects it.
The price when you book can differ from what the customer paid, for example if the packed parcel is heavier than the product weights. The order page tells you before you book if it costs more. Lost, late, or damaged parcels and weight disputes are handled with your courier service and the delivery company.
