Verified seller badge
What the badge means for shoppers, and how your store gets it.
The Verified seller badge shows next to a store on Vezstora Marketplace. It tells shoppers that Vezstora has checked a few things about the store. It's free on every plan, and there's nothing to upload.
What it means
- Identity checked, in one of two ways. Either Vezstora checked the store's bank account with the bank, so the account name you see at checkout is the name the bank holds. Or the store has been paid for real through its own Paystack, Flutterwave, Monnify or Stripe account, and those providers check business owners before they can take payments.
- 3 or more online orders completed. In-store sales don't count.
- No open complaints. No shopper has an open report saying they paid and think it's a scam, or that their order never came.
The badge shows these checks passed. It isn't a promise from Vezstora about a product or an order. Each sale is between you and the store. If something goes wrong, use Report this store on the store's product page in Vezstora Marketplace.
Paying by bank transfer
When a store's account is confirmed, checkout shows Vezstora checked this account name with the bank under the bank details. Before you send money, check that the name in your bank app matches it. If it doesn't, don't send the transfer.
For store owners: getting the badge
Open Settings → Payments. The Verified seller card shows what's done and what's left.
- If customers pay you through Paystack, Flutterwave, Monnify or Stripe, this is done for you after your first real payment. Otherwise, choose your bank and enter your account number. We get the account name from your bank and save it.
- Mark online orders as completed once they're delivered. The badge needs 3.
The badge appears by itself once both are done. You need Vezstora Marketplace turned on in Marketing → Vezstora Marketplace for shoppers to see it there.
When the badge goes away
- You change your bank account. It comes back once the new account is checked, which happens as you save it.
- A shopper reports a scam or an order that never came. It comes back once we've sorted it out with you.
- Vezstora removes it, for example after repeated complaints.
