Founder, Vezstora

Hi, I’m Victor Eze.

I’m a software developer and product builder, and I started Vezstora to give small businesses a simpler way to sell online. I’m based in Nigeria.

Why I built Vezstora

If you’ve ever bought something from a small business on Instagram or WhatsApp, you probably know how it goes. You see something you like, so you send a DM to ask the price. Then you ask if it’s still available. Then you ask for more pictures. Only after all that can you actually place an order.

I kept noticing this. A lot of small businesses sell almost entirely through DMs, and both the seller and the customer spend a lot of time going back and forth.

Since I build websites and digital products, I kept thinking there had to be a simpler option. Not every small business needs a big, complicated website. But they do need a simple, professional place to show what they sell.

So I built Vezstora. It lets a business set up its own online store, manage its products, and give customers an easier way to find what they want and order it.

I started with small businesses in mind, especially the ones selling on Instagram and WhatsApp in Nigeria. The bigger goal is to build technology that makes it easier for small businesses to get online, run smoothly and grow.

A bit about me

My background is mostly in front-end and product development. I work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React, and I studied at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

I’ve built websites and digital products for all sorts of purposes. Over time I’ve become more interested in building around real problems, rather than building software just because I can.

The part I enjoy most is the whole journey: spotting a problem, designing and building something for it, then putting it in front of real people and learning from how they actually use it.

How I like to work

  1. 1

    Spot the problem

Start with something real people struggle with.

  2. 2

    Design and build

Shape a simple answer to it, then build it properly.

  3. 3

    Put it in people’s hands

Get it in front of the people it’s for.

  4. 4

    Learn and improve

Watch how they actually use it, and make it better.
