Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Vezstora platform. Please read them carefully before creating an account. By using Vezstora, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Vezstora merchant account or using any part of the platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a merchant account. By accepting these terms you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2 The Platform

Vezstora provides tools that allow merchants to create and manage an online storefront, list products, and receive payments from customers. We provide the technology infrastructure — we are not a marketplace operator and we are not a party to any transaction between you and your customers.

We do not guarantee that use of the platform will result in sales, customer traffic, or any particular commercial outcome. Results depend entirely on your business, your products, and your marketing efforts.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. Where possible we will provide advance notice of significant changes.

3 Merchant Accounts

Each merchant may operate one account per business. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or platform fees is prohibited.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account and store profile. Providing false or misleading business information is grounds for immediate account suspension.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently close accounts that violate these terms, without refund of any fees paid.

4 Prohibited Content

You may not list, sell, or promote any of the following on the Vezstora platform:

  • Illegal products, substances, or services under Nigerian law or the laws of the customer's jurisdiction
  • Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorised goods bearing another party's trademark
  • Adult content, sexually explicit material, or age-restricted products
  • Products that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Weapons, ammunition, or items designed to cause harm
  • Products with deliberately misleading descriptions, fake reviews, or fraudulent pricing
  • Services offering to circumvent legal, financial, or platform restrictions

We may remove prohibited content without notice and suspend accounts that repeatedly or intentionally list prohibited items.

5 Payments and Fees

Platform fee: 2% per transaction

  • A 2% platform fee applies to all transactions processed via Stripe or Paystack.
  • WhatsApp orders are not routed through the platform payment system and are not subject to platform fees.
  • Fees are deducted automatically at the point of transaction by the payment processor on our behalf.

We are not responsible for downtime, delays, or errors caused by third-party payment processors (Stripe or Paystack). Any disputes with your payment processor must be resolved directly with that provider.

Refunds to customers are handled entirely between you and your customer. We do not process or facilitate refunds on your behalf. You must maintain a clear refund policy on your storefront.

6 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to the platform, including product images, descriptions, logos, and store branding.

By uploading content, you grant Vezstora a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting your storefront on the platform.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights to all content you upload and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws.

We may remove any content that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe creates legal risk, without prior notice.

7 Customer Relationships

You are solely responsible for fulfilling all orders placed through your storefront. This includes packaging, shipping, and delivery in the timeframe you represent to customers.

You must handle all customer complaints, returns, and disputes directly and professionally. Vezstora is not a mediator and takes no responsibility for disputes between merchants and customers.

You must comply with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) and all other applicable Nigerian consumer protection legislation.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or legal claims arising from disputes between you and your customers.

8 Data and Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the platform you consent to such processing.

Customer data collected through your storefront (including email addresses from orders) must be handled responsibly and in accordance with Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). You may not use customer data for any purpose other than fulfilling orders placed on your storefront.

You may not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties, send unsolicited marketing communications, or use customer data after their relationship with your store has ended.

Platform data is stored using Supabase, governed by their data processing and security terms. Payment data is processed by Stripe or Paystack, each subject to their respective data processing agreements.

9 Intellectual Property

The Vezstora platform — including its design, user interface, code, branding, and documentation — is the intellectual property of Vezstora and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of platform IP to you.

Your store content, product descriptions, and branding remain your property, subject to the licence granted in Section 6.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, or create derivative works based on the Vezstora platform without our express written permission.

10 Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vezstora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: lost sales or revenue, loss of data, service interruptions, or reputational damage.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the platform shall not exceed the total platform fees you paid in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11 Termination

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard settings. On closure, your public storefront will go offline immediately and your store URL will become inactive.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you when termination is not for emergency reasons.

On termination, your store data (products, orders, settings) will be retained for 30 days during which you may request an export. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted.

12 Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. You consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
